OBJECTIVE:

 
To expand and systematize knowledge on the synthesis, structure and function of proteins and nucleic acids.


EXPECTED RESULTS (specific skills)
After completing this module, the student must show that it is able to:
1. describe the molecular structure of the building blocks of nucleic acids and proteins
2. understand the process of synthesizing biopolymers (DNA, RNA, and proteins) in vivo and in vitro.

METHODOLOGY OF  TEACHING / LEARNING
Teaching of the course will be based on lectures, practical laboratory sessions and seminars

STUDENTS EVALUATION

The final assessment of this module will be based on the weighted average of the final exam, of the seminar presentations and  of the practical activities. The evaluation criteria of the module shall comply with the assessment regulations of HCPM.
