OBJECTIVE:

 
Recognize and identify molecular markers and utililize them for molecular taxonomy, population genetics, molecular diagnosis of genetic diseases.


EXPECTED RESULTS (specific skills)
After completing this module, the student must show that it is able to:
1. understand the concept of genetic marker
2. identify the main techniques used for genetic characterization and their applications in the context of management of biological resources.

METHODOLOGY OF TEACHING / LEARNING

Teaching of the course will be based on lectures, practical laboratory sessions and seminars

STUDENTS EVALUATION
The final assessment of this module will be based on the weighted average of the final exam, of the seminar presentations and  of the practical activities. The evaluation criteria of the module shall comply with the assessment regulations of HCPM.
